Skills Used: Java, XML, Espresso Testing, Android Studio, UI and UX Design
This project was very difficult, but also extremely rewarding. The idea of Vivace was to create an app that allowed the seamless transition of playlists across a multitude of different music apps. For example, if you had a really unique playlist that was created with Apple Music, Vivace would let you transfer that playlist over to something like Spotify. Unfortunately, this project suffered from outdated technology, and major scope creep. As we began development, we quickly learned of the many deprecated APIs that were essential to the core functionality. Our client also continued to add more and more features, preventing us from improving the ones we already had implemented.
I was the UI and Testing lead for this project. I used Espresso based testing to run both backend and front end tests through Android Studio. In addition, we also used Jira for effective team management.
